PARALLELS
Presenting Ryerson Universities redefined fashion presentation: PARALLELS. This runway show was welcome to people of all backgrounds, sexual orientation, genders, races, religions, and abilities, aimed to celebrate the community and invite an exciting opportunity to showcase different styles and authenticities. As the collections and styling executive, Akshita's responsibilities included managing the team to ensure that all deliverables are executed in a timely manner. She was also responsible for the ethical sourcing and well-being of any garments being displayed to create an overall cohesive look.
MASS EXODUS 2017
Mass Exodus showcases the graduating work of 4th-year Fashion Design & Fashion Communication students from Ryerson's School of Fashion. Akshita assisted the backstage team as well as content coordination to create show lineups, orders and other content. As the content coordination intern Akshita's responsibilities included helping backstage team as well as content coordination to create show lineups, orders and other content. On the day of the show duties included making sure backstage flow was accurate and punctual.
